Pine trees are large evergreen, resinous tree that grows over 50 meter high and 1 meter in diameter. They are found in the both south and north facing slopes of the Nepal’s forests from west to east of the country. This species thrives in area with poor soil fertility, so it is suitable for hills and sloppy areas. Pine trees are popular for timber and housing and produce valuable resin used for manufacturing turpentine and other product. These are the source for incense and basket making.
