Cornhusk (Zea Mays)

Corn is one of the major crops in Nepal, grown throughout the year as food, livestock feed and as cash crops. In the tropical climate of the Terai Region corn can be grown twice a year. The corn husk is the leafy outer covering of the corn cobs. The husk are used as fodder for animals or as fuel for cooking, but can also be used in making handicraft.
